
Blackstone’s major data center project in Finland

Roschier advises Blackstone and its portfolio company QTS in an ongoing large scale data center development project in Forssa, Finland. Once realized, the project would be among the biggest data center developments in Europe.
An entity owned by funds advised by Blackstone has entered into a preliminary sale and purchase agreement with the City of Forssa regarding over 100 hectares of land located in Ratasmäki area in Forssa, Finland. The City of Forssa is also preparing a new zoning plan for the area, which would facilitate the development of a new large scale data center campus into the area. The agreement and the zoning plan amendment process are the key steps in a multi-stage process that, once completed, will constitute a major investment strengthening vital digital infrastructure and creating significant industrial, employment and business opportunities in the Nordics.
