Janne Nurminen and Hanna Tilus appointed Counsel
Roschier strengthens its senior capabilities in the areas of employment law and IP and life sciences by appointing Senior Associates Janne Nurminen and Hanna Tilus Counsel
With the appointments of Janne Nurminen to Counsel, Employment and Hanna Tilus to Counsel, IP & Life Sciences, we continue to develop our offering in areas where advice is especially sought after by clients. As a result of the pandemic, the already strong focus and importance of employment law and the life sciences sector has increased even further, and demand for high-end, sophisticated and practical advice in these fields is expected to remain at a robust level also in the long term.
Helsinki-based Janne Nurminen is specialized in domestic and cross-border transactional employment law and strategic advisory in matters relating to e.g. management, executives and key personnel, incentive and pension schemes, and exit processes. Hanna Tilus, who is based in our Stockholm office, specializes in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on life sciences. Her expertise covers a variety of IP- and technology-related matters including regulatory and compliance, transactions, licensing, technology transfers, marketing, R&D collaborations, complex commercial contracts, multi-jurisdictional IP-litigation and administrative appeals.
“We have seen a steady demand for high-end strategic advice in employment matters, as well as changes in the landscape of employment law where new types of assignments are on the rise, which calls for highly specialized expertise,” comments Anu Waaralinna, Partner and Head of the Employment practice in the Helsinki office. “Janne’s appointment to Counsel is a recognition of his solid track record of advising clients on highly sensitive and complex matters. We are happy to offer him this opportunity to expand his key role in our team even further.”
Erik Ficks, Partner and Head of our Intellectual Property practice in Stockholm, adds: “We are continuously developing our IP and life sciences offering with the commitment to providing a full spectrum of services to clients in the life sciences sector. In Hanna, who joined our team in 2019 as a Senior Associate, we have a versatile and skilled advisor with valuable in-house experience of the life sciences industry from her time working as Senior Legal Counsel in the global life sciences company Bayer with responsibility for legal and compliance in Sweden as well as international tasks. In addition, Hanna has several years of experience from working in another large Swedish law firm with e.g. pharma patent litigation. Her level of experience and expertise complements our team well and provides valuable advantages for our clients.”
Both appointments are effective 1 December.
