Johan Sidklev elected member of the Board of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce

Partner Johan Sidklev, Head of Roschier's Dispute Resolution practice, will serve as a board member for three years, starting in 2019.

The Board of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) includes both Swedish and non-Swedish nationals, all of whom are distinguished and highly-qualified experts in international commercial dispute resolution. Alongside Johan, two new members were elected: Jonas Bengtsson, Group General Counsel of Telia, and Helena Dandenell, a partner at Frank.

“I am very much looking forward to acting as a board member of the SCC,” Johan Sidklev says. “The role of the SCC Board cannot be underestimated when it comes to ensuring the neutrality, efficiency and high quality of SCC arbitrations. In acting as a member of this important decision-making body, it is comforting to note that the SCC Board is comprised of both Swedish and international members, all of whom are eminent and greatly experienced professionals in international arbitration. It is indeed a privilege and a pleasure to be in such esteemed company.”

The SCC provides efficient dispute resolution services for both Swedish and international parties. It consists of a Board and a Secretariat and the function of the SCC Board is to make decisions as required under the SCC Rules. This includes decisions regarding prima facie jurisdiction, the appointment of arbitrators, challenges against arbitrators, and the costs of the arbitration.
