Johanna Lilja awarded as IPR Person of the Year by the IPR University Center in Finland

At the seventh IPR Gaala, held in Helsinki last week, Roschier Partner Johanna Lilja was awarded the IPR Person of the Year Award.

Johanna Lilja is an active member of several Finnish and international IP organizations and a popular speaker and writer in IP-related seminars and publications. She is also the President of the Finnish AIPPI Group.

I am honored to receive this award, and especially happy that the jury emphasized the co-operation aspect. I really believe that co-operation between various organizations in both the public and private sectors, on training and education, but also on work aiming to improve IP laws, is the way forward, in our field and in our relatively small market.

The IPR University Center is a joint institute of six Finnish universities. The Center produces IPR-related research and education, provides information services, and publishes IPRinfo-online magazine. The member universities are Hanken School of Economics, University of Helsinki, University of Turku, Aalto University, University of Eastern Finland, and University of Lapland.
