Johan Sidklev becomes Managing Partner as Mikko Manner returns to focus on client work.
After almost six years at the helm, current Managing Partner Mikko Manner will hand over the management of the firm to Stockholm-based Partner Johan Sidklev, whose term begins on 1 December 2024. The handover comes at a time when the firm has experienced unprecedented growth in both revenue and headcount, a testament to the rising demand for our services. Going forward, we remain committed to our strategy of exceeding clients’ expectations by delivering solutions to new and complex legal matters.
“It’s been absolutely fantastic to serve as the firm-wide managing partner for the past six years,” says Mikko Manner. “Roschier is an extraordinary firm, simply because our people are extraordinary, and I am very thankful for each individual’s contributions during that time. Dedicating myself full time to advisory work and developing our future talents is an exciting change of pace for me. Johan is excellently suited to lead Roschier into the 2030s and the next phase of the firm, and I want to thank him for stepping up to the plate.”
Johan Sidklev comments on his new role: “I take on this responsibility with great pride and will continue the impressive work and initiatives that Mikko has started. Under Mikko’s leadership, the firm has seen exceptional growth and strong internal development. Together with the board, my fellow partners, and the firm’s leadership, I look forward to continuing to cultivate what we have and to taking the next steps on our journey to become the leading Nordic law firm.”
At Roschier, there is a long tradition of ensuring that partners in governance roles remain active in client work, and Johan Sidklev will continue to practice commercial dispute resolution alongside his new role. Johan is recognized as one of the leading experts in dispute resolution in Sweden. He is also a long-standing board member of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Swedish Arbitration Association. Additionally, he is appointed as the country representative to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators – the world’s leading institution devoted to international investment dispute settlement.
