Roschier acted for Stunlock Studios in connection with Tencent’s majority stake investment
Tencent, the biggest game company in the world, takes majority stake in Stunlock Studios, a leading independent Swedish game developer. Roschier advised Stunlock Studios in the transaction.
Game developer Stunlock Studios was founded in Skövde, Sweden in 2010. The company has developed games such as Battlerite Royale, Bloodline Champions and Dead Island: Epidemic, and is close to releasing its latest game V Rising at the end of 2021.
Chinese multinational technology conglomerate Tencent and Stunlock Studios began their partnership already in 2016 with the release of the game Battlerite Royale in China. In 2019, Tencent took a minority stake in Stunlock Studios. Under the new deal, Tencent becomes Stunlock Studios’ majority shareholder.
