Roschier advised Fortum in its partnership with Infracapital to speed up charging infrastructure development and growth
Fortum has signed an agreement to sell a majority stake in its Nordic electric vehicle charging point operator Fortum Recharge to Infracapital. Roschier acted as counsel to Fortum with respect to technology, licensing and competition law.
Fortum Recharge AS is the largest charging point operator in the Nordic countries and owns almost 1 300 public charging points, in addition to which the company operates a further 1 400 charging points in Norway, Finland and Sweden. Following the transaction, Fortum retains a 37% minority ownership of Recharge.
The enterprise value corresponding to 100% of Recharge is approximately EUR 140 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020.
