Roschier represents CNGR Finland Oy in the environmental and water permitting processes and related permits to start operations and construct of necessary infrastructure to sea for a pCAM plant, which will produce precursor cathode active material – a key component in batteries, in Hamina, Finland.

The environmental permit application for the pCAM plant was granted priority status in the environmental and water permit processes as a project promoting the green transition. The pCAM plant is an integral part of establishing a battery value chain in Europe, while enhancing the degree of processing of Finnish minerals and fostering new economic activities in the Kymenlaakso region and Finland at large. The plant capacity has been permitted at 60,000 tons a year, and the initial investment will be around EUR 500 million. Production is anticipated to commence in the coming years.

CNGR Finland Oy is a joint venture between the CNGR Advanced Material Co (listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange) and the Finnish Minerals Group, a state-owned company.

Roschier’s advisory team comprised Matias Wallgren, Sanna-Mari Seppälä, and Sofia Lyyra.
