Roschier bolsters its high-end finance and restructuring capabilities by adding Jonne Järvi as a Partner
The arrival of Jonne Järvi will ensure continuity and strengthen the team in Finland to respond to the increased complexity in finance transactions on the Nordic finance and restructuring arena.
Roschier has appointed Jonne Järvi as a Partner in the firm’s leading Nordic Finance & Restructuring practice. He joins Roschier from Castrén & Snellman, where he is currently Counsel and Partner-elect. His appointment demonstrates Roschier’s commitment to be a close business partner to its clients in the finance sector and the preferred choice for complex, high-end finance transactions.
Jonne advises financial institutions, sponsors and borrowers in a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including project finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance transactions as well as corporate lending and financial restructuring projects. He is recognized as a leading expert in his field in Finland by international legal directories such as Chambers Europe and IFLR1000.
“We are happy to welcome Jonne to Roschier,” says Gunnar Westerlund, Partner and the Head of the firm’s Finance & Restructuring practice in Finland. “He represents the young generation of finance practitioners and will bring continuity to our team. His skillset complements our cross-border team very well and his versatile experience of financing projects, and in particular of both the creditor’s and the borrower’s viewpoint, will be valuable also to the firm’s transactional practices.”
“The increased complexity of financing transactions combined with a growing interest among companies to diversify their financing and explore new financial instruments has created a demand for innovative solutions and more specialized advice,” adds Johan Häger, Partner and the Head of Roschier’s Finance & Restructuring practice in Sweden. “Jonne will be well placed to strengthen our Nordic offering in serving the entire finance industry in high-end transactions.”
Jonne Järvi is the second partner to join Roschier’s Finance & Restructuring practice in the past 12 months, following the arrival of Johannes Ahti in September 2017. The cross-border team, comprising seven partners and some 40 practitioners altogether, is one of the largest in the region.
