Roschier continues support for Ukraine by aiding children’s hospital reconstruction
Insights|August 26, 2024
In response to the recent attack on Okhmatdyt, a major children’s hospital in Kyiv, Swedish organizations, including Roschier, have united to support its rebuilding.
Since the war in Ukraine started, Roschier has been closely involved in supporting various efforts by The Skill Shift Initiative by providing both financial aid and legal assistance on a pro bono basis. This effort, led by the non-profit The Skill Shift Initiative, has successfully raised 20 million SEK, with Roschier as one of the private sector supporters.
Previously, we have supported Ukraine by directing funds to Ukrainian children and families, and by funding purchases of essential equipment such as vehicles, generators, medical equipment, and ambulances. These supplies have been delivered to Ukraine through partnerships with organizations like Save the Children, The Caravan to Ukraine, and OperationAid.
Our ongoing commitment to Ukraine is part of a broader initiative involving both private and public entities working together to provide critical medical equipment to the hospital. The first shipments are expected by fall 2024, highlighting the significant impact of international collaboration in supporting Ukraine during this challenging time.
