Roschier Insights Seminar: Changes in employment legislation and the most recent case law
Date: Wednesday 13.11.2019
Time: 8:30 – 11:00 am. Breakfast starts at 8:30 am. The program begins at 9:00 am.
Where: Roschier, Kasarmikatu 21 A, 00130 Helsinki
The middle of November will be a good time to stop for a while and reflect on a practical level on some central changes that the new Finnish Working Hours Act and Annual Holidays Act will bring about. Which legislative solution did the legislator choose with regard to the scope of the Working Hours Act? What is the definition of working hours, how is flextime interpreted, and what is meant by working time arrangement? How about working hours bank’s debit and credit?
We will also discuss how to organize teleworking and what the maximum working hours can be, according to the new Working Hours Act. With regard to the Annual Holidays Act, we’ll discuss new extra days of annual holiday and when they are given to an employee.
In addition, we will present practical advice from the most recent case law, especially in relation to negotiations on termination agreements and the employer’s actions during an employee’s sick leave.
You are warmly welcome to participate in the debate. We look forward to seeing you!
