Roschier has been recognized at the 2025 Managing IP EMEA Awards for its work in cross-border IP litigation and contributions to the IP landscape in the Nordic region.
This year, we are once again recognized as the Nordic Firm of the Year. This recognition underscores our consistent work and market-leading IP capabilities across jurisdictions. We were nominated in all eligible categories and took home five awards, continuing the success of last year’s strong results.

In Finland, Roschier has renewed its title as Patent Disputes Firm of the Year. We also warmly congratulate our colleague Rainer Hilli, who is once again recognized as Finland Practitioner of the Year for his continued contributions to the IP field.
“I am of course very grateful for the personal recognition,” says Rainer. “But this is really built on the cornerstones of a large team in both Finland and Sweden and foremost the clients that continue to place their trust in us. I am therefore most happy that we were once again awarded Nordic Firm of the Year.”
Our team also received two special European awards for recent major patent cases:
- European Cross-border Patent Litigation Team of the Year, for our role locally in the cross-border Bayer (Xarelto) patent litigation.
- Europe Impact Case of the Year, for the firm’s representation of Merck Sharp & Dohme in the landmark patent/SPC litigation Teva v Merck Sharp & Dohme (C 119/22 and C 149/22) before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
“Even with a large and successful IP team operating at the Nordic level, these recognitions are quite exceptional,” says Rainer. “These acknowledgements reflect the collaborative spirit and deep commitment across the whole firm.”
Our partners Rainer Hilli, Mikael Segercrantz, Johanna Lilja, Johanna Flythström, Arto Linnervuo, Erik Ficks, Björn Johansson Heigis, and Susanne Mellqvist attended the Managing IP Awards gala in London to receive the awards.
The Managing IP Awards recognize remarkable achievements and developments in the past year. Managing IP is a leading source of analysis on all IP developments worldwide, covering cases, legislation, trends, strategies and other issues, explaining why they have practical relevance for lawyers.
