Roschier represented Blackstone in Oatly’s USD 200 million capital raise
The USD 200 million round led by Blackstone Growth, which helps fast-growing companies scale efficiently with the support of Blackstone’s global network and platform, will help Oatly, the Swedish sustainable food company, to continue its global expansion and establish new production plants.
Together with Blackstone Growth the investors include Oprah Winfrey, Natalie Portman, former Starbucks Corp. Chief Howard Schultz, Jay-Z-founded entertainment company Roc Nation, investment firm Orkila Capital and Rabo Corporate Investments, the investment arm of Rabobank. The investors join the company’s existing investors and the company’s founders.
Oatly is a world leader in the global sustainability movement, promoting the benefits of plant based eating from both a nutritional and sustainability standpoint, in order to creative positive societal change. Oatly’s innovative products are currently available in more than 50,000 locations in 20 countries. They currently employ 550 people throughout Europe, North America and Asia with global headquarters in Malmö, Sweden and regional offices in New York, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
