Roschier’s outstanding Nordic competition law expertise widely recognized

Roschier's cross-border EU & Competition team and its lawyers received excellent reviews in recent surveys.

In an independent client survey by TNS SIFO Prospera in Finland in 2019, Roschier’s EU & Competition team was ranked a clear no. 1. The survey was targeted towards clients with the highest volume of annual purchases of legal services in Finland. Further, in the GCR 100 2019 and in the Chambers Europe 2019, Roschier’s competition team was top-ranked as elite and Band 1, respectively. The team’s practitioners stand out in the recently published Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders in Competition 2019, which brings together some of the world’s foremost competition lawyers and economists.

“We are of course honoured and grateful to all clients and peers that have taken the time to give us such positive feedback,” says partner and Legal 500 Hall of Fame ranked Christian Wik. “This is a testament to the hard work and continuous development by the entire team during the past year,” adds partner and head of the Finnish team Ami Paanajärvi.

Roschier’s cross-border EU & Competition team is one of the largest in the Nordics with one senior advisor, four partners and 13 associates working full-time on all areas of competition law, including antitrust, merger control, procurement and state aid. The team provides an ideal platform to serve clients both in the context of large transactions (such as Bonnier’s SEK 9.2 billion sale of Bonnier Broadcasting to Telia, YIT’s combination with Lemminkäinen, Fortum’s public offer for shares in Uniper and the EUR 4.6 billion public offer for Amer Sports by an investor consortium led by ANTA Sports Products) and in stand-alone competition law procedures (such as cartel and abuse of dominance investigations by the FCCA, SCA and EU Commission).
